National insurance law firm Gilchrist Connell has strengthened its national team with the appointment of two special counsel in Perth, alongside a number of senior appointments and promotions across its Australian offices.
Leading insurance sector law firm Gilchrist Connell has bolstered its national team with the appointments of Peter Mariotto and Teron Stone as special counsel in Perth, alongside several other appointments and promotions.
The moves come after the firm recently added five senior lawyers across Adelaide, Perth and Sydney, including three hires from rival BigLaw firms.
Specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, Mariotto has vast expertise spanning infrastructure and property disputes, financial lines and regulatory matters.
Previously, Mariotto was special counsel at Barry Nilsson for less than one year, after spending over four years at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers as special counsel.
Meanwhile, Stone – who is also appointed as special counsel – specialises in insurance litigation and has advised clients across motor injury, workers’ compensation, public liability and general insurance matters.
With an expertise and client-focused approach, Stone adds further depth to Gilchrist Connell’s Western Australia practice.
Stone joins the firm from Jarman Legal, where he worked for over five years.
