Having practised law in Australia and the United States, Wheeldon has extensive experience in a wide variety of matters.

After obtaining his law degree from Harvard Law School, Wheeldon commenced his career in the mergers and acquisitions group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP in New York City, where he advised on many high profile transactions, including a number of unusual cross-border deals.

Following his return to Australia, he worked in the regulatory policy branch of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where he provided advice on matters in relation to the regulation of financial services and capital markets.

He subsequently worked in a national law firm in Sydney and as senior transactional counsel for an ASX-listed financial services company.
