Firms: HSF (Lend Lease); Allen & Overy (Lend Lease's joint venture partner)

Deal: Lend Lease's successful bid for a large mixed-use site at Paya Lebar, Singapore.

Value: Approx. A$1.6 billion

Area: Property

Key players: Partner Justin O’Farrell (pictured) led the HSF team, working with counsel Stephen Newby, Henrietta Farrelly-Barnett and Sally Johnston.

Deal significance:

The site, awarded on 1 April after a competitive tender process, will be owned through a joint venture with Lend Lease’s major global investment partners.

Justin O'Farrell commented, "We are thrilled to have helped Lend Lease win another major bid in Singapore for a development that will have a significant impact on the Paya Lebar area."

In March, HSF helped finalise Lend Lease's partnership with Malaysia's 1MDB Real Estate in relation to the development of the Lifestyle Quarter of the upcoming Tun Razak Exchange in Kuala Lumpur.
