Adelaide-based manufacturer Jackson Care Technologies has engaged a South Australian law firm to advise it during its acquisition by Xped Limited.

Deal significance: ASX-listed Xped Limited acquired Jackson Care Technologies (JCT), an Adelaide-based company that manufactures and supplies communication solutions to the healthcare sector.

The transaction represents a first for Xped, enabling it to integrate its proprietary ADRC technology into JCT products sold into healthcare markets.

Xped’s ADRC technology enables any consumer, regardless of technical capability, to easily connect, monitor and control everyday electronic devices from a smart phone application.

“The deal with Xped provides exciting opportunities to grow the JCT healthcare solutions business through Asia and North America,” said JCT CEO and owner Eddie Jackson.
