According to a statement from Piper Alderman, Mr Rankin brings over 20 years’ experience to his new role at the national firm, having gained experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer, while regularly working with local and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, competition law and Australian regulatory compliance matters.

In addition, Mr Rankin has advised both private companies and publicly listed companies, particularly in the financial services, healthcare, aged care and agribusiness sectors, the statement said.

Head of Piper Alderman’s Brisbane office, Ted Williams, said it was a great pleasure to welcome Mr Rankin to the team.

“Over the past five years, we have been strategically building our Brisbane office through a series of senior partner appointments. The addition of Andrew will further cement Piper Alderman as a serious player in the Brisbane legal market,” Mr Williams said.

Meanwhile, Piper Alderman national managing partner Tony Britten-Jones said that Mr Rankin will further enhance the firm’s corporate offering, not only to the Brisbane market, but also nationally.
