Newly-merged entity promotes 35 in first week
The recently-amalgamated mid-tier firm McCabe Curwood has elevated 35 lawyers across its commercial, insurance and government practice groups.
The firm — which this week merged under the McCabe Curwood banner after having been McCabes Lawyers and Curwoods Lawyers respectively — has promoted eight to senior counsel, seven to senior associate and 20 to associate.

New managing principal Andrew Lacey said the promotions are a reflection of the dedication to providing quality service to clients.
Further, he noted it was indicative of the firm’s plans for future growth.
“The promotion of each of the employees is reflective of their commitment to an excellent standard of work and dedication to clients,” he said.
“We are growing and will be expanding in Sydney as well as interstate.”
The new special counsel are Yasmin Bell, Kate Blue, Andrew Bridges-Webb, Laura D’Alessandri, Erin Kidd, Brendan Maher, Kien Ng and Gerry Tzortatos.
Zachary Carrigan, Tiffany Fozard, Kristine Gorgievski, Mary Kinna, Emilla Lukemans, Lia Sparkes and Jacqueline Winters were all promoted to senior associate.
And the 20 elevated to associate are Bridget Carpenter, Eden Christopher, Audrey Egan, Chad Farah, Ben Ferguson, Nick Galanopoulos, Simon Grey, Homira Haideri, Dylan Heffernan, Katharine Huxley, Amy Joyce, James Kang, Kate Martin, Renee Reddy, Marissa Skaltsounis, Collette Scott, Kaj Scholte, Jessica Shillington, Vanessa Turner and Jovana Vasiljevic.
