The firm has announced that Paul Hopwood has come on board as special counsel in Clyde & Co's Perth office, after departing boutique law firm Cocks Macnish.

Mr Hopgood brings more than 15 years’ experience to the firm, predominately in the marine sector, holding expertise in admiralty, marine insurance and international trade law.

In addition, Clyde & Co has laterally recruited two senior associates — Claire Smith, who takes to the firm’s insurance practice in Brisbane, and Scott Jackson, who takes to the firm’s real estate, projects and construction practice in Perth.

Clyde & Co has also promoted five associates to senior associate across its Brisbane and Sydney offices.

The new senior associates are listed as Chloe Blackwell (real estate, projects and construction, Sydney), Leah Hewish (corporate, Sydney), Teodor Lomaca (real estate, projects and construction, Sydney), Stefanie Luhrs (insurance, Brisbane) and Alexis Norbury (insurance, Sydney).
