Mr Palermo holds a vast background advising in commercial property law. According to a statement from SPB, he focuses on real estate acquisitions and disposals, development and leasing, hospitality and liquor licensing and property finance.
“Mark joined our firm as an associate more than 10 years ago and we are so pleased to support him on his journey to partnership,” Perth managing partner Tony Chong said.
“His team leadership, technical ability and client rapport have been evident for some time now and we are confident that he will flourish with the new responsibilities of partnership.
“As a ‘home-grown’ partner, Mark’s progress is an inspiration to other young lawyers aspiring to partnership at the firm.”
Mr Starkoff joined SPB in 2017. Throughout his career he has advised on complex construction disputes, government enforcement litigation and competition and regulatory advice, according to the firm's statement.
“David is an excellent addition to the partnership,” Australian managing partner Campbell Davidson said.
“He is a trusted adviser to clients and is well known for his strategic and problem solving skills.
“These appointments are aligned with the firm’s strategy to grow the firm in Australia to around 30 partners in key practice areas.”
