HSF elevates 29 to senior associate
Global firm Herbert Smith Freehills has named 29 Australian lawyers as its newest senior associates.
The new SAs “span the firm’s Australian offices”, HSF said in a statement, with lawyers in the following teams seeing promotions: employment, industrial relations and safety, finance, real estate and projects.

HSF Australian managing partner Andrew Pike said the firm was committed to “developing talent”, and that he was “extremely happy” to promote “these 29 high-performing lawyers”.
“Their unwavering commitment to clients and the firm, their outstanding legal skills and their demonstrated leadership capabilities have been rightly recognised in these promotions and will serve them well in this next stage of their careers,” he said.
“I congratulate them all and look forward to their ongoing success. I know that they will continue to deliver great results for our clients and the firm and serve as inspiration to our younger team members.”
The new senior associates in the corporate team are Christian Bourke, Melisa Chan, Lauren Faba, Nicola Greenberg, Alexandra Lorenzi, Bianca Marcocci, Ken-Chai Ooi and Phillip Smith.
In the disputes team, Nuwan Dias, Brendan Donohue, Christopher Kahwaji, Jodi Kerley, Yilong Li, Laura Morfuni, Breigh Smith and Phillip Sparkes were all promoted.
Giacomo Giorgi and Graeme Tanner were elevated in the employment, industrial relations and safety team.
And in finance, real estate and projects, Joshua Attard, Thomas Ellicott, Peter Ip, Stephanie McSwiney, Amandi Panagoda, Joshua Singer, Wesley Taylor, Joshua Todd, Lan Wei, Emily Wilson, Yun Yong were elevated.
