Inner West Council redevelops Marrickville Hospital

With the help of Maddocks, the Inner West Council has redesigned and redeveloped the former site of Marrickville Hospital.

Deal: Maddocks has advised the Inner West Council on the redevelopment of former Marrickville Hospital site into a new residential and community complex.

Value: Undisclosed.

Key players: The Maddocks team included partners Andrew Chapman, Alicia Albury and Patrick Ibbotson. Senior associates Matthew Frazer, Brian Henson, Suzanne Rizk and Andrew McGlashan also assisted.

Deal significance: The redeveloped hospital site will feature a new library, community hub, residential apartments and open spaces.

The Maddocks team worked closely with the Inner West Council on the redevelopment of the site, which has been unused since 1990. The team comprised of lawyers with deep local government experience from across the construction and projects, property and public law teams.
