Area: M&A

Key players: The Clarendons team was led by managing director, Tony Symons and senior associate, Brendan Sheehan, who were assisted by associate, Dean Beaumont and lawyer, Ayesha Singh.

Deal significance: The acquisition of Biarri’s cargo supply chain assets strategically complements Navis’ existing terminal and carrier/vessel solutions and will enable Navis to expand its product offering to inland rail solutions.

Mr Symons congratulated Navis on the acquisition: “We were thrilled to assist Navis with its acquisition of the Biarri Rail business. The addition of inland rail solutions to Navis’ existing product offering is an important part of Navis’ strategy for the broader cargo supply chain sector.

The transaction marks an exciting opportunity for Navis to expand its business and we look forward to seeing the broader Navis business continue to grow, he said.

“We are seeing strong cross-border M&A activity so far this year.”
