Global law firm King & Wood Mallesons has assisted Lochard Energy on its refinancing worth approximately $1.3 billion.

Deal: Lochard Energy has raised approximately $1.3 billion to be used to refinance $1.06 billion of existing debt and associated transaction costs, as well as fund Lochard Energy’s future corporate and capital expenditure requirements.
Value: Approximately $1.3 billion.

Key players: The KWM team advising Lochard Energy was led by partner Claire Rogers and supported by senior associate Amy Maguire and solicitors Amaryllis Tian and Lily Rayment.
Deal significance: Financial close was reached on 16 September 2021.
