McCabes promotes 14
National law firm McCabes has elevated 14 professionals to more senior roles, effective as of the new year.
The firm has promoted three to special counsel, four to senior associate and five to associate.

The new special counsel are Ashleigh Clancy, Shauntelle Lim, and Helen McHugh, the new senior associates are Kristy Craig-Smith, Nicholas Robertson, Matthew Renwick, and Wadett Semaan, and the new associates are Tia Cooper, Stephanie Lowy, Bethany Mahler, Catherine Marangos, and Narek Michaelian.
Elsewhere, the firm has elevated Katie Ogle to senior HR advisor as well as Robert Murphy to assistant financial accountant.
Speaking about the promotions – all of which were effective as of 1 January 2022 – managing principal Andrew Lacey (pictured) said that they were “well deserved”.
“It is excellent to see our people continue to go above and beyond for the firm, these promotions have been well-earned and put us in a strong position for 2022,” he proclaimed.
The news follows that of fellow national law firms Gilchrist Connell and Hall & Wilcox promoting 13 professionals each to more senior roles, which Lawyers Weekly published last Monday and Friday.
