Her appointment will help JWS bolster its technology, media and telecommunications offering, the firm said in a statement.
Ms Dean is a “highly regarded” competition and regulatory lawyer, the firm said in a statement, who advises clients on Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) merger clearance processes, responses to ACCC inquiries and investigations, anti-competitive conduct issues, cartel matters, joint ventures, consumer law issues and regulated access to infrastructure and services.
Speaking about the appointment, JWS managing partner Jeremy Davis said that the firm is “excited” to have Ms Dean join its ranks.
“Jennifer is a very talented lawyer, who has built a strong reputation for her specialist expertise in regulatory issues impacting the technology, media and telecommunications sectors,” he said.
“We have an extremely strong regulatory practice and are especially known for our work advising on high profile competition clearances and investigations arising out of the Hayne Royal Commission.
“Jennifer’s appointment will see us deepen our regulatory expertise in the TMT sector.”
