Sparke Helmore appoints workers’ compensation partner

Sparke Helmore Lawyers has announced the appointment of Arelene Lowry, who has joined the firm’s insurance statutory lines team as a partner in their Northern Territory office.

Ms Lowry specialises in workers’ compensation, administrative law, insurance, and motor vehicle accidents. She conducts all aspects of catastrophic claims involving serious injuries, as well as complex medical, quantum and intricate liability issues. 

She is a multi-jurisdictional practitioner and has experience servicing both Northern Territory and South Australian markets. She has acted for compensation insurers, the Northern Territory and Commonwealth governments, local councils, and compulsory third-party insurers.

Ms Lowry has in-depth experience in all aspects of worker’s compensation and motor vehicle accidents, including specialist experience with indemnity, contribution, liability and both seeking and defending recovery claims between multiple parties.

She holds experience in migration and employment matters and has in-depth understanding of the challenges presented by the integration of worker’s compensation with visa and HR/IR issues.
