Clayton Utz special counsel joins Hamilton Locke as partner
Fast-growing BigLaw firm Hamilton Locke had bolstered its partnership ranks, appointing a taxation special counsel from fellow national practice Clayton Utz to be a partner.
Seema Sandhu has joined Hamilton Locke as a partner in its Sydney-based taxation team, bringing more than two decades of experience acting for clients across a range of industries.

She has, the firm said in a statement, advised clients on matters relating to merger and acquisition, private equity, tax structuring, employee share schemes and general tax advisory.
Before joining Hamilton Locke, she was in the taxation team at Clayton Utz as a special counsel and, prior to that, worked in KPMG’s Sydney and Hong Kong offices.
Speaking about the appointment, Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey said: “We are delighted to further expand our offering to clients and build on our existing capabilities with the addition of Seema as the first tax partner in Sydney.
“Seema’s niche and extensive skill set is a great asset to our firm and clients.”
Hamilton Locke now has 55 partners, following its recent acquisition of Morrissey Law + Advisory and its expansion into New Zealand.
