Annamarie Rooding (pictured) has returned to KWM, where she worked for almost a decade as a solicitor and on postings to various in-house teams.
Ms Rooding brings, the firm said in a statement, “in-depth legal and practical insights on how boards and senior management navigate complex and sensitive people, conduct matters and implement key elements of people-related governance programs”.
Her in-house experience “is complemented by nearly a decade of private practice [Principled Workplace Consulting] that focused on the legal and governance aspects of key employment law and workplace relations issues”.
She advises clients in a diverse range of industries, including financial services and banks, gaming and entertainment, mining and resources, IT, manufacturing, insurance, property and government.
Speaking about the appointment, KWM merger and acquisition practice leader Rachael Lewis said that it is “wonderful” to welcome back Ms Rooding to the firm.
“Annamarie’s expertise will be invaluable to our clients in the workplace relations space, including navigating the Albanese government’s recent and further upcoming significant employment and industrial relations reforms, and all aspects of establishing and operating an effective, compliant, and sustainable ‘speak up/listen up’ and whistleblowing program,” she said.
“Our national employee relations and safety practice has expanded and grown significantly in recent times and is going from strength to strength, with Ruth Rosedale recently appointed to the partnership and Angela Weber joining the partnership in 2022.”
The firm’s chief executive partner, Renae Lattey, added: “I am delighted that Annamarie has returned to KWM.
“Her blend of private and in-house experience will be invaluable to our clients and will complement and strengthen our existing workplace relations law offering in Australia.”
