Area: Energy and resources
Value: Undisclosed
Key players: The Maddocks team was led by partner Ron Smooker, who was supported by partners Pria O’Sullivan, Danielle Funston and Sefton Warner, special counsel Richard Robinson, senior associates Jacqueline Picone, Peter Hoolihan and Chris La Guzza.
Deal significance: Speaking about the acquisition, Mr Smooker said: “This transaction will provide CleanPeak Energy with access to renewable energy assets in the ACT, adding to its growing portfolio and supporting its long-term strategy of renewable infrastructure.
“This was a transaction requiring various areas of specialisation and capability in the challenging context of an insolvent seller group.
