“Leon has distinguished himself as a rarity in Melbourne’s legal sphere, as he is not only fluent in the Chinese language (Mandarin) but also fortified with exceptional legal expertise and real-world experience,” the firm proclaimed in a statement.
“With an impressive list of Chinese clients, including international enterprises, property developers, funds, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, Leon understands the needs and perceived barriers for Chinese investors and business people who are embarking on, or are already working in, Australian markets.”
He most recently served as special counsel at Dentons, and prior to that, he was general counsel at Landence Group. He is also an executive committee member at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Australia.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Yang said: “I am dedicated to bridging the gap and providing commercial and legal solutions that transcend cultural barriers, ensuring my clients receive not only exceptional expertise but also the comfort of clear and effective communication.”
