The news follows the firm’s appointment of a new Australia-based managing partner, Rebecca Kelly, late last month, its naming of 13 new senior associates in Australia in July and seven new special counsel in May.

In August, Clyde & Co reported that its firm-wide revenue grew 20 per cent in FY23 since the previous financial year.

Mr O’Kane joined Clyde & Co in 2017, and prior to this, he was a researcher for the Chief Judge at Common Law in the Supreme Court of NSW.

His practice, the firm detailed, involves the management of general and complex personal injury (including fatality and catastrophic injuries), general liability, historical sexual abuse, property damage and professional indemnity claims, and he provides advice on both complex coverage and defence matters to major Australian and London insurers and reinsurers, brokers, and corporations.
