Jo Dodd is set to join Corrs from KWM, where she has served as a partner for close to eight years. Prior to this, she was a senior corporate lawyer at NAB, a managing associate at Linklaters in London, and a lawyer at Allens.

She will commence with the national firm in February and be based in its Sydney office.

Ms Dodd, Corrs said in a statement, is a “leading” debt capital markets lawyer with experience covering debt, hybrid and equity capital markets as well as corporate governance and financial institution regulatory advice and has expertise in all debt instruments, including debt issuance programs and drawdowns, standalone issuances, retail bond and regulatory capital offerings and liability management transactions.

The news follows the firm’s promotion of three lawyers to its national partnership in May of last year and its hiring of a tax partner from PwC in August.

Speaking about the appointment, Corrs chief executive Gavin MacLaren said: “Jo has significant experience in financial and prudential regulation, debt and hybrid issuance and innovation in debt capital markets, including green and sustainable finance and digital bonds.

“She has more than two decades of specialist capital markets experience, which will be of great benefit to our clients, and we are delighted to welcome her to the partnership.”
