Wayne Attrill (pictured) has joined Shine Lawyers, bringing a “wealth of experience” from his time consulting on litigation finance, risk assessment, class actions, litigation management, dispute resolution and law reform.
He has previously worked as a senior investment manager and litigation funder at IMF Bentham Limited and served as managing director of Pencarrow Associates. He is also a member of Winward UK Limited’s advisory committee.
Attrill is passionate, the firm outlined in a statement, about the role that finance, markets, and litigation can play in promoting improved environmental outcomes and sustainability.
The news follows the firm’s promotion of 35 lawyers to more senior roles in mid-January.
Speaking about the appointment, Shine chief legal officer Lisa Flynn said the firm is proud to welcome Attrill to its ranks.
“Wayne’s vast experience in litigation and class actions will be a real benefit to our teams as we continue our focus on expanding our class actions practice and holding large corporations and governments to account when they have wronged everyday people,” she said.
