Effective from 1 July, Allens has promoted eight partners across a variety of key practice areas.

With these promotions – five of which are women – the firm has brought its partnership to 41.7 per cent female.

The new partners are Joshua Anderson (disputes and investigations, Melbourne), Victoria Eastwood (disputes and investigations, Sydney), Isabelle Guyot (technology, media and telecommunications, Sydney), Corin Morcom (disputes and investigations, Brisbane), Llon Riley (funds, super and financial services, Melbourne), Jamie Taylor (banking and finance, Sydney), Anita Thompson (competition, consumer and regulatory, Sydney) and Chloe Wilton (employment and safety, Melbourne).

The appointments build out the firm’s expertise in a number of critical practice areas and will open up new pathways to growth, according to chair Chelsey Drake.

“We are very pleased to announce the appointment of eight exceptionally talented lawyers to the Allens partnership and to congratulate them on this significant career milestone,” she said.

“Each of them has demonstrated a commitment to building market-leading expertise and delivering exceptional client experience throughout their careers.”

This news follows the addition of real estate partner Carrie Rogers from Clayton Utz earlier this year.

Commenting on the recent promotions, managing partner Richard Spurio said: “Our new partners are driven by the pursuit of client success, putting our clients’ needs, priorities and success at the heart of everything they do. We look forward to welcoming them to the partnership.”
