Australian Federal Court judge, Justice Mordy Bromberg, will deliver a keynote at the Australian Law Forum 2025.
The Honourable Justice Mordy Bromberg, president of the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC), is set to speak at the Australian Law Forum.
The highly anticipated Australian Law Forum unites professionals for a unique platform of collaboration across the legal sector. The forum will host three dedicated streams designed for BigLaw, general counsel, and boutique and bar.

The prominent Australian judge will be joined by other leading legal minds at the summit, including Clifford Chance partner Naomi Griffin, Canva’s Ellen Howard, and Adam Butt, barrister at 8 Wentworth Chambers.
Justice Bromberg was appointed judge of the Federal Court of Australia in 2009 following his tenure as a barrister at the Victorian Bar. His Honour has also worked as a solicitor spanning Melbourne, London, and Hong Kong and was an occasional consultant to the International Labour Organization.
In 2023, after 14 years and more than 500 judgments in the Federal Court, Justice Bromberg was appointed president of the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) for a five-year term. He continues as a part-time judge of the Federal Court.
Justice Bromberg has presided over many of the most important cases in the areas of law he practised.
Throughout his career, he led the Federal Court’s employment and industrial relations national practice area, and his wide-ranging practice and experience included administrative law, native title law, migration law, human rights, and constitutional law.
To date, Justice Bromberg has led the following ALRC inquiries:
Review of the Legislative Framework for Corporations and Financial Services Regulation.
Review into Exemptions for Religious Educational Institutions in Federal Anti-Discrimination Law.
Additionally, Justice Bromberg is the chair of the advisory board of the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law at the University of Melbourne and is a former president of the International Commission of Jurists (Victoria). He is also the former founding president of the Australian Institute of Employment Rights.
