Four special counsel and 14 senior associates have been promoted across Johnson Winter Slattery’s (JWS) Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth offices, effective from 1 July.

Ben Bishop and Tarryn Wright from JWS’ restructuring and insolvency practice were promoted to special counsel, as were Emily Lau and Viva Swords from its technology/intellectual property practice.

Hannah Alcock from its competition practice, Dimity Carrick-Clark and Regan Shires from its real estate practice, and Isabel McElhinney from the energy and resources practice were promoted to senior associate.

In the dispute resolution team, Alice Colquhoun, Marc Eastmure, Lisa Nguyen, Heather Urry, and Nicholas Vardanega will step into the senior associate role next month.

The firm also promoted Lydia Cowan-Dillon and Suvina Wong from the technology/intellectual property practice, and LuAnne Han, Conor Hughes and Audrey Weston from the corporate team.

Commenting on the promotion round, managing partner Jeremy Davis said the firm was fortunate to have a “deep bench of talented lawyers”.

“These promotions are well deserved and a testament to each individual’s exceptional performance and commitment to our clients,” Davis said.
