National firm Barry Nilsson has promoted 26 special counsel, senior associates and associates, and two in business services.
To support the firm’s growth and enhance service delivery, Barry Nilsson has promoted 26 lawyers across its insurance and wills and estates practice, and two staff from its business services division.
Commenting on the promotion round, chairperson and principal Peter Murdoch said Barry Nilsson’s staff were at the “heart of the strategic vision for the firm – to have the best legal talent representing our clients and achieving the best outcomes”.
“It’s important for us to recognise and reward these 28 emerging leaders who will help drive growth, innovation and client service for the firm nationally,” Murdoch added.
Murdoch said the promotions reflect Barry Nilsson’s commitment to “developing and investing in our people” and ensuring it is fostering the “next generation of leaders” to propel the firm forward.
Referring to the promotions in the insurance practice, Murdoch said the boost in talent would drive growth and deepen the firm’s expertise amid increased demand for services.
This demand is being drawn by “the complex and rapidly evolving risk landscape”, Murdoch explained.
“These promotions enable us to better support our clients in this environment and continue to grow the practice as we strive to cement our position as the national leader in insurance law,” Murdoch said.
