PCL Lawyers has continued to strengthen its national footprint with the launch of its first office in South Australia, officially opening its doors in Adelaide.

This new addition marks the firm’s 13th office across Australia, with three located in NSW, two in Queensland, and seven in Victoria.

The Adelaide office will be led by partners Clementina Maione and Lucy Evans.

Maione, who previously served as a principal solicitor at KHQ Lawyers, joined PCL Lawyers earlier this year and brings extensive expertise in family law.

The firm also confirmed that she plans to relocate to Adelaide in the near future.

Evans, who specialises in disputes and litigation, returned to PCL Lawyers last month after previously spending nearly six years with the firm. Most recently, she served as principal lawyer at BSP Lawyers.

PCL Lawyers, which has nearly 50 staff, noted that its expansion into Adelaide follows the rapid growth of its Sydney office, which has tripled in size over the past 18 months.

Leading that growth is Sydney managing partner Nelson Arias Alvarez, who expressed confidence that the firm’s experience in Sydney will help shape its strategy in South Australia.

“The lessons learnt during our Sydney expansion will guide us in Adelaide as we continue our focus on building a commercially driven and client-centric practice,” Alvarez said.

Welcoming this new chapter for the firm, Glenn Duker, managing partner (Melbourne) at PCL Lawyers, expressed his confidence in Maione and Evans to establish the firm’s presence in South Australia.

“With deep ties to Adelaide, Clementina and Lucy bring not only outstanding legal expertise but also a strong passion for supporting the South Australian community,” said Duker.

“We are confident in their ability to establish the Adelaide office as a trusted source of legal guidance.”

While the Adelaide office is still in its early stages, PCL Lawyers has stated that additional staffing will be considered “depending on the workflow”.
