Dentons has taken a highly experienced employment lawyer and her team of three from Deloitte Legal.
Employment partner Helene Lee has moved from Deloitte Legal to Dentons, along with senior associate Angela Cartwright, solicitor Charlie Phipps, and legal assistant Bridget Cook.
Melbourne head of office and employment and safety partner Paul O’Halloran said Dentons was thrilled to welcome the new team.
“Helene’s expertise and reputation as an employment lawyer, combined with the team’s capability, will strengthen our offering in Melbourne,” O’Halloran said.
Lee has extensive experience in private practice and in-house roles where she has advised a diverse list of clients on all aspects of employment, industrial relations, and discrimination law.
This expertise also includes employment compliance, fostering a positive workplace culture, managing change and transformation initiatives, conducting employment-related due diligence, navigating business transfers, and addressing workplace grievances.
Lee is also experienced in handling and defending litigation, leading workplace investigations, and delivering training.
Amber Warren, Australia chair and Australasian region CEO, said she was delighted to welcome Lee and her team.
“This appointment aligns with our strategic vision to expand our national employment and safety practice,” Warren said.
“We are confident that Helene and her team will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and success in this critical area.”
Lee said she was excited about the move and the opportunity to collaborate “with such a talented team”.
“We look forward to leveraging our experience and Dentons’ global presence to drive and deliver innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients,” Lee said.
