Mortgage broking firm Legal Home Loans has entered a partnership with ReLove, a charity that provides essential household items to those escaping crisis situations such as domestic violence and homelessness.
Under the partnership, Legal Home Loans (LHL) will donate $50 from every loan settlement to ReLove. Given that just $500 can fully furnish a home for one person, offering dignity and comfort at a critical time, the broking firm said, each client’s loan will directly contribute to furnishing safe and welcoming homes for people rebuilding their lives.
Further, LHL clients who are eligible for a rebate as part of their law society, law institute, bar association, or law firm can “seamlessly” donate all or part of that amount to ReLove.
Since 2022, ReLove has supported over 2,500 families and redirected more than 3,000 tonnes of furniture to homes instead of waste. The charity does this by transforming empty housing into safe, fully furnished homes for people in crisis, including those escaping domestic violence or experiencing homelessness, while caseworkers support clients as they choose quality furniture and homewares in a respectful and welcoming environment.
