FCL, which specialises in family law, property and conveyancing, commercial law and dispute resolution across the country, is set to add another office to its name in 2025.

It currently operates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, looking to expand to Darwin later in the year, “further extending its reach into northern Australia,” it said.

“The firm has confirmed it will open a new office in Darwin later this year,” it said in a statement.

This move is part of the firm’s nationwide expansion strategy.

“FCL Lawyers is positioning itself as a trusted partner during a time when Australians are seeking stability and practical solutions,” it said.

Director and principal solicitor at FCL Lawyers, Thara Sujithkumar, said: “Australians shouldn’t have to choose between protecting their legal rights and staying financially secure. By offering fixed-fee structures and tailored strategies, we give clients clarity, peace of mind and confidence that costs will remain under control.”

This news follows a recent story by Lawyers Weekly, about the arrival of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Australia (Ciarb) into the Northern Territory.

In this story, Ciarb Australia’s president, Geoff Farnsworth, described Darwin as: “Australia’s most northern port capital city and the hub of a thriving economy on the doorstep of the most dynamic region on the planet.”

The firm said that it provides in-person and virtual consultations worldwide with a focus on affordability, transparency and strong client outcomes.

“Our goal is simple – to make high-quality legal advice accessible without the financial burden,” she concluded.
