Global law firm White & Case is set to use collaborative AI platform Legora across 43 offices in 29 countries.
White & Case has rolled out Legora’s collaborative artificial intelligence (AI) platform for legal professionals globally, which the firm said will help its lawyers review faster, draft smarter, and research deeper with advanced AI-driven capabilities.
The firm will be using Legora in 43 offices across 29 countries in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions. Beyond this collaboration, White & Case and Legora will collaborate on new products and solutions, including the Legora Portal, designed to transform collaboration between law firms and in-house legal teams and help deliver additional value to law firm clients through AI-enabled workflows.
The news follows the adoption of Legora by some of the biggest law firms in Australia, including MinterEllison and Allens, earlier this year, as well as its establishment of a new presence in Sydney with three senior leadership appointments reported last month, as it moves to expand its Australian and APAC operations.
It also follows comments from Legora’s head in Asia-Pacific and Japan, Heather Paterson, made earlier this month, that law firms must safeguard against ‘unsanctioned’ use of AI.
Speaking about the collaboration, White & Case partner and executive committee member Dipen Sabharwal said: “We are delighted to enter this partnership with Legora, a company whose vision and ambition reflect our own.”
“This partnership is part of our strategic approach to AI and innovation, which combines partnering with market-leading legal technology companies while also building custom internal solutions,” he said.
“We are impressed by Legora's pace of innovation, openness to collaboration, and commitment to shaping its platform to our needs. We are excited by the opportunities for everyone at our Firm to create solutions that serve our clients and empower our people.”
And Legora’s co-founder and chief executive, Max Junestrand, said: “We’re proud to partner closely with White & Case, a truly global law firm with a rich history and ambitious goals.”
“Together, we’ll develop the future of AI-driven legal work and enable their teams to leverage AI to focus on what matters most: delivering consistent, world-class quality outcomes for clients at a global scale,” he said.
“Real change at this scale requires a lot of hard work and a focus on adoption,” Junestrand continued.
“Working with the White & Case team throughout the initial phase of this partnership has been nothing short of exceptional. We look forward to entering the next stage to ensure the global rollout is successful.”
