Effective from 1 January, Gilchrist Connell promoted six special counsel across its Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney offices.

In Adelaide, they are personal injury and workers’ compensation lawyer Ashleigh Allen, health and administrative law’s Katrina Fitzgerald, and Paris Kontibas from a range of practice areas.

Brisbane’s Emma Malloy covers employment law, as does Arthur Hambas from Melbourne. New Sydney special counsel Joshua Noney specialises in personal injury and insurance law.

Gilchrist Connell has also promoted Lauren Anastasiou, Zahra Amanyar and Matthew Grey to senior associate.

Further, Jack Gauvin, Matisse Henderson and Minnie Bhowmick were elevated to the associate position.

Gilchrist Connell promoted Jessica Lloyd to people coordinator and Hayley Cavanagh to legal secretary.

CEO Belinda Cohen said the firm was thrilled “to recognise colleagues who consistently deliver for our clients and teams”.

“Their promotions reflect deep technical skill, practical judgement and the way they live our values every day.

“Congratulations to each of you – we’re excited to see what you do next,” Cohen said.
