Eliza Faulk has brought more than 25 years of experience in insurance and health law to Wotton Kearney, along with a special counsel, a senior associate, an associate, two solicitors, and a practice administrator.

Having worked extensively in these areas since 2004, and in her specialisation of medical negligence claims, Faulk has been widely recognised for her technical legal excellence and sharp insights.

Head of health Chris Spain said she brings a “rare combination” of medical negligence expertise and real insurance business acumen.

“Eliza understands the pressures our insurer and healthcare clients are under – not just legally, but operationally and commercially – and he knows how to deliver outcomes that genuinely make their lives easier.

“That perspective is incredibly valuable, particularly in today’s risk environment,” Spain said.

Prior to Wotton Kearney and Makinson D’Apice, Faulk served as head of practice (civil) NSW at a leading medical defence organisation and oversaw a significant civil claims portfolio.

On her move, Faulk said Wotton Kearney has built a reputation “as the go-to firm for insurers and insureds”.

“The firm’s strong collaboration, straight talking advice and real partnership with clients strongly aligns with how I practice.

“I’m excited to join the Sydney team and contribute to the next phase of growth in our national health practice,” Faulk said.

Faulk’s team is made up of special counsel Jessica Brougham, senior associate Mali Hughes, associate Brigitte Mather, solicitors Nadia Homem and Mathilde Bache, and practice administrator Erin Lucas.
