The Australian Law Forum is returning for its second year, bringing together legal professionals from across the spectrum at a pivotal moment for practitioners nationwide.
As regulatory scrutiny intensifies, AI accelerates change, and client expectations evolve, legal professionals across all settings are being called to lead. The Australian Law Forum provides a rare opportunity for the entire sector to confront shared challenges and redefine what it means to practise law with integrity, strategy, and foresight.
Whether you’re navigating firm-wide capability shifts, embedding governance frameworks, or mitigating AI-related risk, this is the one event where Australia’s legal community converges to share insights, challenge conventions, and set a new standard for professional excellence.
With tailored content for BigLaw, in-house leaders, and boutique practitioners, the forum delivers grounded, practical direction backed by the collective experience of the profession itself.
The forum, now in its second year, will take place on Thursday, 30 July, at Royal Randwick, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

Speaking about the forum, Lawyers Weekly managing editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “It is our great pleasure to unveil the return of the Australian Law Forum.
“Last year’s inaugural event was a tremendous success, bringing together practitioners from all corners of the profession for wide-ranging discussions about what constitutes best practice in a continually evolving professional services landscape. This year’s instalment promises to be no different.
“Run in conjunction with our annual Australian Law Awards, the forum promises to be as insightful as it is instructive, while allowing attendees ample opportunity to network with colleagues and meet with product and service providers who can assist individuals and businesses with myriad needs.
“We can’t wait to see you all there.”
The event features three streams dedicated to BigLaw, corporate counsel, as well as boutique firms and the Bar.
The agenda will deliver tailored insights on the most urgent trends and challenges facing the legal profession as a whole, and also its specific cohorts. The forum will spotlight how firms, in-house teams, government departments, and sole practitioners and barristers can navigate regulatory upheaval, wrestle with the complexities of AI in legal practice, and adapt to evolving client expectations, all against the backdrop of ongoing economic and geopolitical turmoil.
