National law firm HWLE Lawyers has unveiled a “record” promotion round, elevating 108 professionals across its national offices, including the appointment of three new partners to its partnership ranks.
HWLE Lawyers has elevated 108 professionals across its Australian offices in what it has described as a “record” promotion round, recognising talent across its legal, support staff, and business services teams.
The promotions include the appointment of three new partners, the elevation of nine lawyers to special counsel, 18 to senior associate, and a further 65 to associate roles.
Beyond its legal teams, the national law firm also elevated a further 13 professionals across its support staff and shared business services teams.
The newly promoted professionals will officially assume their senior positions from 1 July.
The national law firm’s new partners include Taylor Austin (insurance, general, Melbourne), Paul Burgoyne (corporate and commercial, Melbourne), and Frances Spry (litigation, Hobart).
In a statement, HWLE noted that the breadth of promotions reflects the depth of capability across its national platform, recognising lawyers and staff who consistently deliver high-quality work while strengthening the firm’s culture and client service standards.
Speaking on the recent appointments, HWLE CEO Kris Hopkins said the scale of the promotions reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to recognising performance and investing in its people, noting that those promoted have consistently demonstrated excellence in their work.
“At HWLE, we take pride in recognising people who consistently deliver high standards for our clients and contribute positively to those around them,” Hopkins said.
“These promotions reflect individuals who embody our focus on excellence and the strong connections that underpin how we work.
“It’s great to see over 100 promotions across the firm this round. We remain focused on creating an environment where people are supported to succeed, can do their best work, and build meaningful careers.”
Hopkins added: “Congratulations to each of our promoted staff and thank you for your continued contribution to HWLE.”
