Across its Asia-Pacific promotions, Clyde & Co has elevated two Australian lawyers to its partnership and promoted three to senior associates in its Sydney office.
Clyde & Co’s professional and commercial disputes lawyer, Kelly MacDonald, and new appointment, Andrew Pullinger, have been promoted to partner, based in Melbourne and Perth, respectively.
MacDonald specialises in major and complex disputes and thrives in novel and complex work, having regularly acted as coverage and defence counsel in high-stakes and high-profile matters.
Her work canvases alleged breaches of professional, statutory and common law disputes, complex indemnity disputes, commercial litigation, and superannuation law disputes.

Commercial disputes lawyer Pullinger has extensive experience in complex litigation matters, international arbitration, and dispute resolution across the infrastructure, energy and resources, financial services, and professional services sectors.
His practice spans trial and appellate litigation, international arbitration, shareholder and investor matters, fraud and asset recovery, and complex cross-border disputes. He is admitted and has worked across Western Australia, England and Wales, the Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands.
Pullinger said Western Australia continues to be “one of the world’s most important centres” for energy, resources and infrastructure investment.
“At the same time, businesses are operating in an increasingly complex environment shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, heightened regulatory scrutiny and evolving stakeholder expectations.
“Clients need advisors who understand the commercial realities of their industries and the disputes that arise within them,” he said.
Promoted to senior associate in Sydney are professional and corporate disputes lawyer Henry Bloore and insurance lawyers Lilla Kontakos and Leona Cassidy.
Bloore has a focus on coverage disputes and defence of professional claims and has defended claims against construction professionals and financial practitioners.
Kontakos has extensive experience assisting clients with corporate insurance matters, corporate governance work, commercial agreements and negotiations for the purpose of dispute resolution.
Cassidy has acted for insurers and corporate policyholders on general, public and product liability, and complex claims and has experience managing insurance recovery claims and cross-border disputes.
Clyde & Co has also promoted dispute resolution lawyer Pi Wei Ng and marine, trading and commodities lawyer Michelle Tay to senior associate in Singapore.
