Ashurst Perkins Coie adds litigation partner from Clayton Utz

The move, the firm went on, reinforces Ashurst Perkins Coie’s commitment to Melbourne, a market of growing importance for complex litigation, regulatory investigations and class actions.

Muckersie is a “seasoned litigator” who advises clients on commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement action, and has a practice spanning major contractual disputes, corporations matters, property and leasing disputes, and financial services regulatory investigations.

She has joined from Clayton Utz, where she served since late 2012 as a seasonal clerk, and then from early 2014 as a graduate, before ultimately being made a partner in January of this year.

The news follows the firm’s naming of nine new Australia-based partners, in a global cohort of 18, back in April.

Speaking about the new hire, the firm’s head of complex litigation in the Asia-Pacific region, Ian Bolster, said: “We are delighted to welcome JK to Ashurst Perkins Coie.
