A newly appointed principal will lead McCabes’ financial services and financial institutions practice group.
Michael Bracken will strengthen McCabes’ ability to service across domestic and global locations on sophisticated corporate structuring, corporate advisory, and financial services regulatory and prudential governance.
With more than four decades of experience within the financial services space, Bracken has specialised in corporate structuring, financial product development and innovation, and financial services regulation.
Commenting on the appointment, McCabes managing principal Andrew Lacey said: “Michael’s appointment gives McCabes’ commercial division genuine depth in structuring advice at the sophisticated end of the market.”
“Clients increasingly need a firm that can move fluently between complex regulatory frameworks and commercial reality, particularly as digital innovation reshapes how financial services products are built and distributed.”

Lacey said clients will have a principal who can structure sophisticated transactions and manage regulatory complexity “in one place”.
Bracken commended McCabes’ strong commercial practice and said the opportunity to build “a market-leading banking and financial services offering” is one he was excited about.
