Corrs Chambers Westgarth has advised Emeco, a leading global provider of heavy earthmoving equipment, on the sale of its Victorian civil earthmoving equipment rental business.

The deal forms part of Emeco's strategy to release $60 million of capital over the next financial year. The sale comprises a portion of the business' earthmoving equipment fleet, all consumables, spare part inventories, existing rental contracts and all employees.

The transaction was led by partner Russell Philip with lawyer Ebony Sweetnam.
