The fifth annual Corporate Counsel Awards has wrapped up, with the top-performing in-house legal professionals at a national level recognised for their myriad achievements over the past 12 months.

The event, which was held at The Star in Sydney as well as being live-streamed, recognised 30 winners across all industries after a year in the market unlike any other.
In his opening speech at the Corporate Counsel Awards, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy said that given how the coming year will likely present challenges just as demanding as those in the age of coronavirus, it is pertinent for the legal profession to take the time to celebrate the extraordinary work being undertaken by in-house professionals.
“To every in-house professional in the room tonight, and those of you tuning in via the live-stream, thank-you for your considerable efforts over this past year, and for the significant contribution you make, every day, to our nation’s legal profession. Win or lose, you should feel extremely proud of what you do,” he said.
