Norman Waterhouse Lawyers, a Sydney and Adelaide-based commercial firm providing specialist legal services to business and government, has made three new associate appointments.

Sharon Kelsey, associate in the employment division, has over 20 years’ experience. She specialises in occupational health and safety, as well as risk management. Kelsey provides advice and court representation on such issues as auditing policies and procedures, occupational health and safety, strategic planning, risk management, workplace investigation and management systems.
Joining the local government services division as associate, Kate Oliver is responsible for issuing and reviewing permits under the Local Government Act, with a particular focus in business use of roads and community land, negotiation with community groups and businesses for leases and licences over community land, administration in opening and closing of roads and presentations to councils.
Associate Vasiliki Danambasis arrived at the environment and planning team as a solicitor in November 2005. Danambasis previously gained two years’ legal experience in a boutique Adelaide commercial firm and the Crown Solicitor’s Office (CSO). While serving at the CSO, she practiced in the administrative and industrial section, focusing primarily on summary prosecutions, magistrates appeals and merits reviews in the administrative and disciplinary division of the District Court.
As well as being a practising lawyer, Danambasis has a qualification in architecture and practised in that field before studying law.
