Dibbs Abbott Stillman has promoted Ben Gulan to the position of partner in their Canberra office. Gulan has extensive experience in property and development transactions.

Gilbert & Tobin has appointed two new partners: Nick Taylor in its competition and regulation division and Gary Chiert in its corporate transactions division.

Mills Oakley Lawyers has appointed two new partners, Gino Potenza and Peter Ryan to their mortgage recovery and Workcover teams, respectively. Ryan joins the firm from the Transport Accident Commission, where he was senior legal counsel. He has had experience in delivering legal services to public sector organisations and providing strategic advice at the CEO and board level across a wide range of areas. Potenza has more than 18 years experience in his practice area, and joins the firm from Gadens, Melbourne.

Mellor Olsson has appointed new partner Phil McGovern to its commercial and succession planning team. McGovern has more than 25 years of experience and is among a small group of South Australian lawyers who combines commercial and estate planning experience.

Clayton Utz has appointed new partner Doug Galbraith to its Canberra office’s commercial litigation division. Galbraith has substantial experience acting for federal government agencies and private sector clients.

Eakin McCaffery Cox has appointed Jodie Nicholls as a consultant in their insurance and commercial litigation division. Nicholls joins the firm from Herbert Geer & Rundle in Melbourne.

McCullough Robertsons insurance and risk management group has appointed Lisa Nardone as special counsel to its insurance and risk division. Nardone is a specialist in personal injuries claims and litigation and has joined the firm after 15 years with TressCox Lawyers.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth appoints as partners Megan ORourke in its corporate advisory group, Charles Tremlett in its banking and finance group, Jonathon Leek in its revenue division and John Gray in its information technology group.
