Sparke Helmore has appointed new local managing partners to the firm’s Melbourne and Brisbane offices. Graham Dent has taken over as local managing partner of Sparke Helmore in Melbourne. He joined Sparke Helmore in 2002 and specialises in workplace relations, safety and environment. Dent replaces Paul Cutrone, national head of workplace relations, safety and environment, who is returning to the firm’s Sydney office. Anthony Henley joined Sparke Helmore in 2000 and specialises in professional indemnity, and will replace Bernie McDade as local managing partner of the Brisbane office.

 
 

Piper Alderman has appointed seven partners. Stephanie Vass is a partner in the commercial services division (employment relations) in Sydney. Richard Davis is a partner in the dispute resolution division in Sydney. He practises in commercial litigation in a wide variety of industries. Greg Taylor has joined as partner in the firm’s property, infrastructure and environment division in Melbourne. Steven Kunstler joins as a partner in the corporate division in Melbourne. His expertise and experience involves capital raising activities for all types of unlisted & listed vehicles. Robert Gartside also joins as partner in the corporate division based in Melbourne. He has a wide practice covering both commercial law and private client practice. Mark Waters joins as partner in Piper Alderman’s dispute resolution division based in Melbourne. Michael Lhuede also joins as partner in the dispute resolution division in Melbourne. He will lead the Victorian arm of the firm’s national credit management and insolvency practice group.
