Hicksons has recruited two special counsel, commercial litigator Chris Moore and workers compensation specialist Annette O'Brien.

 
 

Moore has practiced in insurance law and commercial litigation for over 20 years, including seven years as a barrister. He has undertaken work for insurer defendants and corporate plaintiffs in all aspects of general insurance (public, product and professional liability, together with directors and officers, ISR and life and disability claims) and reinsurance claims. Moore's commercial litigation experience includes property, securities and complex multi-party commercial disputes.

O'Brien has practiced as a solicitor in general liability insurance law for 14 years, specialising in workers compensation and dust diseases litigation. Her experience spans public liability, product liability, property claims (including fire claims), medical negligence, workplace relations, employment and occupational health and safety matters. She has acted for a range of clients including insurers, local councils, public sector organisations and authorities, and major corporations.
