Employment law specialist Warwick Ryan and solicitor Brendan Taylor have joined Swaab Attorneys' employment and workplace relations team, while Marcus Connor has joined the firm's intellectual property team.

After building up his own employment law consultancy, Ryan joins the firm as partner bringing two decades of experience in employment law. He has advised both employers and employees on a broad spectrum of matters, including termination and restraint of trade disputes and OH&S prosecutions.

Managing partner of Swaab Attorneys, Fred Swaab, said in a statement: "Warwick's vast experience in employment law and his strong track record as a negotiator with insurers and trade unions represents a welcome expansion of our employment law capabilities."

Also joining the employment team, Taylor has experience advising on employment matters, including obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009, superannuation legislation and workers compensation legislation.

Connor has been engaged as senior associate to work in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property law and has a special interest in the health industry.
