Commercial law firm Arnold Bloch Leibler has promoted John Mengolian to the position of partner and promoted eight of its lawyers in the firm's Melbourne office to senior associate level.

Mengolian joined the firm in 2005 and practises in commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on property development and property-related litigation, plus building and construction disputes.

Those appointed to the position of senior associate include Reagan Thackwray in the firm's property and development team; Teresa Ward, Jason Blankfield, Kate O'Brien and Nancy Collins in the firm's litigation and dispute resolution team; Christine Fleer in the commercial and private clients group; Shaun Cartoon in taxation and David Shafer in the firm's commercial and corporate team.
