Norton Rose Australia has raided the partnership of Jones Day in luring back a lawyer to the firm.

Herman Yip, previously a partner in the banking and finance group of Jones Day in Singapore, has been added to the banking practice of Jones Day in Perth.

Yip began his career at Freehills in Perth and Melbourne before joining the banking and finance group of Norton Rose in Singapore in 1999. He was with the firm for six and a half years before joining the partnership at Jones Day in 2006.

Yip has extensive banking and finance experience in the energy, resources, infrastructure and real estate sectors. His practice focuses on project and corporate and structured financings, representing banks, investment funds, project developers and corporate borrowers in a wide variety of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.
