Corrs Chambers Westgarth has added to its competition group with the addition of Rowan McMonnies as a special counsel in the firm's Sydney office.
McMonnies has over 10 years' experience in Australia and internationally, including a stint as director in the ACCC's merger investigations group and as principal lawyer in the enforcement and compliance group.
He specialises in competition, including merger clearances, strategic advice, ACCC immunities, investigations and proceedings and access to essential infrastructure.
In particular, his experience with the ACCC and in private practice has seen him develop a detailed understanding of the merger clearance process as well as insights into resolving ACCC enforcement investigations.
