DLA Piper has appointed of counsel Kaichen Xu to the Shanghai office of the firm's corporate group.

 
 

Xu joins DLA from international firm O'Melveny & Myers, where he served as counsel.

Xu has practised in both China and the United States, developing a broad corporate practice with a focus on private equity and venture capital, cross-border mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investment in China.

"Throughout his esteemed education and career, Kaichen has cultivated tremendous expertise in corporate practice in both the public and private sector," said Wan Li, partner and head of corporate in DLA Piper's Shanghai office.
