Mallesons Stephen Jaques has recently appointed two special counsel and 32 senior associates across its Australian and Hong Kong offices.
Nicholas Beech was appointed special counsel in the firm's Perth dispute resolution practice and Leigh Cooper was made special counsel in banking and finance in Brisbane.
Cooper recently advised Horizon Oil on its $US80 million convertible bond issue to help fund its acquisition of an oil block offshore of southern China.
Eleven lawyers were appointed senior associates in Melbourne, three in Perth, seven in Sydney, eight in Hong Kong, and one in the both the firm's Canberra and Brisbane offices.
The appointments were mainly in M&A and dispute resolution.
